>>4935683>Producing rookies doesn't equate to being competent, that's moronic. Rookies are kind of the core of a successful promotion. They are a net positive outside of the training period, and if you get them to pay for classes, then they are a net positive from the beginning. They work cheap, they fill out cards, they get you press coverage, they do all the menial tasks and they eventually make you money.
Wave basically did everything wrong for most of their existence. They should have bought/rented a dojo from the beginning so they could hold shows free and train wrestlers. They should have gotten on tv or gotten online quicker. They should have sold dvd's of their shows. They should have been producing rookies all along. They should have pushed Ohka, Shibutani and Haruhi when they were worth something. They should started running Korauken earlier than they did. They are doing more competent things now
Oz isn't much better, just they had television. Oz really could have and should have been the top promotion, but they never tried and let other people make the money instead.
>You let your rage against Ice Ribbon live rent free. You are responding to a different person. Ice Ribbon is like my favorite promotion. No rage here. They basically did everything right up until the Prominence split.
