but since you want to go there, you probably thought that AEW should just appear out of nowhere and immediately match WWE's ratings, even though AEW had no name value or prior TV experience. Do you think that if you put a new wrestling show on TV, all wrestling fans should immediately watch it, including those established fans that WWE had built up for the past 30 years? The very same fans that are now in their 50's and make up the majority audience of WWE's viewership, the very same fans that don't watch anything else and won't watch anything else. The only wrestling they watch is WWE, no matter how bad or good it gets, they will continue to watch until they die. They will continue to use a television set when the rest of the world is using internet streaming.

The WWE Network was a business model created so that WWE could pocket subscription & PPV money in a way that means they don't have to pay the talent.
