The WWE is on a completely different level now, carnying networks internationally and making the most money they ever have off of it. Hell, the Olympics are namedropped in that poster. Ask the IOC if they'd rather have all their lucrative broadcasting deals, or higher demos in America.
The reason why it's cope whenever Dave or cultists bring up the demos is because they're trying to position AEW as being a young, hot brand that can overtake the WWE, when the reality is they have a fraction of the audience and can't even turn a profit.
