He could spend all day helping the booker not be a handicap, but why would he now that the booker actually owns his own promotion in the form of RoH.
Tony will have to make a choice. He can book one promotion, poorly. He can't book two promotions whatsoever.
Somebody is gonna have to run RoH, but Tony owns it himself. Why would he not run it himself? It's his dream, come true.
AEW meanwhile is Tony's dad's property. By all means, Tony can just, you know, leave. AEW won't die with him gone.
Perhaps that's why Cody's out of the picture for a while.
Of all the EVPs, who could actually be the lead decision-maker at AEW?
The only guy who I see doing that, of that ragtag bunch anyway, is Cody.
Certainly with all those legends and veterans who he respects and whose opinions, unlike the rest, he actually listens to.
