Probably. She has decent size, she's big enough to where she doesn't look like a loli. She also has a vicious looking offense. Some of the best kicks I've seen from wrestling.

For whatever reason Riho got pretty good crowd reactions until like mid 2021. Tbh, Shida's never really got strong responses consistently. Until very recently with her improved English she's always come across bland as fuck.

Miyu would get over because she has a great entrance (unlike Shida/Riho/Sakura), and has based kicking offense. Plus she's more intense and badbass than the cutesy joshi wrestlers AEW has featured.

Miyu is kind of stale in TJPW. I imagine she'd need to be back for the big event in June, but if I'm Takagi I'm trying to convince AEW to take for 6 months at least. Raise her profile so when she comes back hopefully she brings new fans into the promotion like Itoh did.

You can get away with one or two stupid gimmick before people start to notice how ridiculous they are.
Luchasaurus was part of a tag team thats constantly get championship shot.
Shoko was a ghibli movie cosplayer from Japan that cant even speak english. If even Emi Sakura who decided to smarten up by cosplaying famous singer doesnt even get over, theres no way that Shoko will be.

Am I wrong to think that the only avenue these japs havent tried to connect with an american audience is to just get "Triple H's NXT" treatment of dressing in leather jacket, jeans, and had rock and roll music? Thats literally the lowest bar you can do, but it had worked before. Would help sell her striker style and seriousness better than those maroon gear can do. The best solution is the easiest one sometimes.
