Meanwhile Fandango was legit 6'3~ with a killer look, could work better than 90% of the shitters his size, could not only cut promos but was one of the most consistently entertaining acts on the show, and the Fandango gimmick/song got so over that it made Vince go "EGRGRRRR NOBODY GETS OVER ORGANICALLY PAL" and changed his song/gimmick

What happened it that his song was becoming massively popular organically and WWE being the sterile, corporate, publicly traded entity it is drove it all straight into the ground in a single night with that dumb everyone's fandangoing video and having him come out immediately afterwards and going "WANT TO FANDANGO?"

I've never seen such a rising fad come to such a screeching halt. It was like a light switch went off
