WWE is trying to spin the lie that it was a "congenital abnormality", meaning something present since birth.
I know for a fact this is bullshit. He has an enlarged heart from steroid abuse. I have seen the echocardiogram myself, and it's nearly twice the size of normal, which resulted in congestive heart failure. Stress test showed he should not be performing anymore.
He's now on a diuretic, beta blocker, and an ARB.
Congenital defects would be detected (usually at birth) or would present far earlier than 52 years of age, especially given his earlier lifestyle of heavily working out and performing in-ring.
WWE is trying to avoid yet another steroid scandal. With luck he will live to 60.
