Why do AEW fans feel the need to act like they’re NJPW fans when they haven’t watched in years? Why is this so common?

I watched from 2016 up until the meme flu when the booking went retarded. I still watch the occasional show but they really need some new main eventers, ZSJ winning the NJC is a good start though

I stopped watching New Japan for two reasons
1. Because the product got way worse after the pandemic started
2. Because I don’t want to have so much wrestling to watch per week that it becomes cumbersome.
It’s just easier as an American viewer to watch AEW twice a week and leave it at that, NJPW has always been a pain to keep up to date with.

It’s a legitimate travesty. From what I understand LIJ EVIL wasn’t massively popular but I loved him. And I’m sure most would agree it’s better than what he’s doing now. Even if they change course with him one day that’s so many years of his career wasted with his weird booking he has now
