The shit is just stupid. They claim people don't come to wrestling shows to watch talking, so they put on matches -- fine. But why put on shit matches nobody pays to see? They're coming to AEW to watch Sammy, Britt, MJF, Punk, Bryan, Mox, Darby, Sammy, Wardlow, Bucks, Cole, Page, Rosa wrestle **every single week**. Not every 3rd or 4th week. Not stand around and talk and waste everyone's time. To WRESTLE.

If you aren't going to have your top stars WRESTLE, then just do them and us a favor and cut them. With 3 hours of TV, if you can't fit every one of those wrestlers in, bare minimum, 2 out of every 3 weeks -- in 6 man tags, in triple threats, in SOMETHING -- you're wasting everyone's time.

Imagine buying tickets to an AEW show and you only get to see 3 of your favorite 12 wrestlers. I'd be fucking HEATED.

If Darby and Sammy can wrestle every week, then so can Andrade, Hook and Statlander. If they're unable or unwilling, then cut the dead weight and get them off my fucking television

I want so badly for AEW to go over, become profitable and become a legitimate #2. But they aren't on that path now, this is just sad. This is just an extension of the Jericho Boat Cruise where everyone is playing Rock Paper Scissors backstage to see who is FORCED to go out and wrestle a match and entertain the scrub audience

Part of me wonders if D-Bry teaming with Mox isn't some kind of reverse psychology. They can't run the whole "shucks, we're learning how to be a team" thing and only wrestle every 3 weeks. They need to be on TV, constantly, wrestling every single week, for months on end, otherwise the angle just looks stupid.

Not headcannon, it's true but it's not necessarily bad. AEW had peaked with what it was going to accomplish with a bunch of glorified indies at the helm. All you were doing with Omega was getting NJPW over. Same with the Bucks. All you were doing with Mox is proving to the world that a mid-carder from WWE is the best draw on your roster. Hangman was someone whose career push was mostly AEW. And as good as Punk is, the smart move with Punk is using him to develop new talent, specifically AEW talent. Short-term, it won't lead to a massive increase in ratings. Long-term, it will lead to ratings stability and will cement a place for AEW in the entertainment world.

This right here is the main thing wrong with AEW. Sure, I get it, wrestling should be about in-ring work, but it's also about entertainment. Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair had careers because of their mic work. People would pay to see matches with 3 out of 12 of their best stars if 6 of those 12 were working the mic on that night as well. Obviously, the crap that WWE is doing right now with maybe 3 matches in 2 hours is complete shit too, but there needs to be a balance between wrestling and entertainment.

Never a draw. He was born out of WWE's brief flirtation with Mexican-style Luchador wrestling. Dude doesn't have a place on the roster and was a failed attempt to get Charlotte Flair to AEW.

Truth. This worked very well for wrestlers in the past. Very much the Million Dollar Man gimmick. No one really believed that DiBiase could beat anyone, but he was smart enough to have people interfere for him and he could work the mic. DiBiase was dimes too. So is MJF. Part of the reason I don't mind MJF being a midget is he knows how to work the crowd and to present himself in such a weasel way that you believe everything he puts out there. You don't believe he can beat his opponent, but you believe he can outsmart them. The dude doesn't even need to wrestle to put that out there.
