>>5044380What we do know: a) Cody was on two contracts, performer and backstage. b) The backstage contract entitled him to full healthcare/other benefits not typical for wrestlers. c) He was paid handsomely in AEW for working a light schedule, especially in comparison with WWE. d) He had backstage pull/creative influence. e) AEW hired his wife for hundreds of thousands, more than she would earn in WWE, and now this imcome is lost from their household.
Can't see the switch being good for Cody. He's the shits and Vince does not like him at all. This may be a disaster and I suspect he may have pulled an ultimatum on Kahn - Cody isn't one of his favs - and then walked when turned down. If I was him I wouldn't make the switch for even 3x what AEW were paying. But Cody, like his father, is a massive mark.
