I know a guy on the inside, and it sounds like the plan for Cody was always to have him return at the night after 'Mania Raw. So I would not be shocked at all if Shane is Seth's opponent. Also: Cody is working a heel authority figure gimmick (basically a better version of Sonia Deville's gimmick) where he will be the liaison between Vince and everyone else. Austin Theory is involved too and the plan is for a slow-burn Theory face turn that is supposed to rocket him to Cena-level babyface. At least that's the goal.
