WWE has hired outside creative many times to the point they take writers who have never even watched wrestling and every single time they get shouted down to the point of insignificance and set up to fail. TNA wouldn't even entertain the idea of anyone else writing besides Russo or old talent. Tony Khan is the absolute closest anyone has gotten to popping that bubble.
