I hate Punk, but I would still rather see him as Gayew champ over Hangman Page. At least Punk can actually tell stories & set up narratives that get you interested on how the match is going to play out. Punk as champ already has plenty of potential feuds that just write themselves. He has the unfinished business with Kingston. He has that MJF shit. There's Wardlow. Punk even had beef with Tazz's crew, and everyone from Tazz's stable would be fine opponents for Punk. Miro's God & Punk's beliefs would be at odds with each other, another solid feud that writes itself. The Elite are basically AEW's establishment, so that's another feud for Punk. Punk could easily transition to feuding with Jericho or Regal's crew. Jericho for obvious Sports Entertainment reasons. A rivalry with Regal's crew could work if Punk continues to be an annoying face. There's so many places to go with Punk. Unlike with Adam, where fucking nothing is happening.
