With the exception of NXT's run and the first 2 years of LU the 2010s were incredibly difficult to watch wrestling in America. But even with NXT's success they never really created a male star of importance. It was just let down after let down.

Just compare matches between AEW and WWE since AEW has been on TV.

Bryan, Kenny, & the Bucks have put on all time classics.

WWE hasn't been good since 2014. If AEW didn't come along, I wouldn't be watching any wrestling now (since NJPW sucks with the quiet crowds)
