Quackenbush had big plans for Wheeler in Chikara, creating the Sylverhawk gimmick for him and even paired him up with Weber Hatfield (who was another up and coming rookie at the time as Nytehawk that Quack had big plans for).
But Wheeler thought he was too pretty to wear a mask and ultimately quit when Quackenbush declined to let him wrestler unmasked.
As such, Quack got Wheeler grayballed, branding him "difficult to work with" and a "prima donna". Which is why it took so long for someone to sign him as it wasn't until Quack no longer had power that people were willing to sign him.
