Cody/Seth was way better than I thought it'd be, he fits in more at WWE than AEW because they'll reign in his ego. Also the half of the women's match I saw before that was garbage but all women's wrestling is garbage so I can't hold it against you

WWE fans are trying to rub it in but it's a simple fact Cody didn't fit in with the rest of AEW, thats why he had his codyverse. Both companies are better off because of this.

I like Cody's style of match, much more than the flippy shit a lot of AEW does, he's a good classic story teller when he's not being over indulgent. I think it's a shame we didn't get to see him vs CM Punk.

That's the worst thing they can do. Cody's best quality is how he's so unambiguously, uniquely himself with all the good and bad that entails. If they try to reign him, he'll just become meaningless midcarder on WWE's roster of nothing but meaningless midcarders.

Kinda, the problem is if Cody has total freedom he's gonna book himself like a slightly less worse Triple H or Jarrett. He's smart enough to keep the focus on him but he won't hold the belt. Kahn is your modern wrestling fan.
Vince is more of the sports entertainment.
even the wrestling style is extremely different.
Compare the tag matches. and personally to me, I hate AEW tag matches but I do enjoy Kenny Omega, Daniel Bryan, etc. While WWE has guys like Styles and stuff.
Plus the young guys I do like in AEW have to job to old WWE guys so it's kinda fucking gay and makes not watch.

My problem with AEW is modern wrestling is just sports entertainment but done ironically. It's the difference between a corny old movie and a modern marvel movie that's just as corny but winks at you.
The Punk/Bryan stuff stands out because it feels like a modern version of classic pro wrestling which is what a lot of us wanted. NJPW and ROH doesn't provide this either because it has none of the heat or finesse of classic wrestling.
