Why is WWE pandering to smarks? Do they really think the average person knows about all the AEW shit and cares about some literal who former WWE undercarder.

Look at the ratings. Smarks are all that’s left at this point. Casual wrestling fans jumped ship years ago.

Vince apparently eased off the smark catering with NXT 2 so Cody is probably just a normal hire. Not a manlet and he can portray a big gimmick which Vince usually likes in his wrestlers.
