>>5129741>So he literally just signed cause of the money? Yes that was the major factor, but also Vince was more happy to sign him then Tony was. From the sounds of it Vince was all in that Codys the right guy and nows the time. Sometimes it takes a guy to leave, reinvent himself, and then come back for things to work out. re: Drew, or Brock.
>>If Tony Khan paid a million or 2 out of his own pocked Cody would have stayed? From what i heard, the EVPs got 2 contracts, the EVP deal and their worker deals, just like all the other backstage hands that also wrestle.
So just for example: EVP deal is 1 mil, InRing is 1 mil, comes time to resign, Cody is expecting EVP to be 2 mil, and inring to be 2 mil. In Tonys mind, whys he gonna pay Cody more money for a position with LESS responsiblity, less duties, less work? Whys he gonna pay preceivably Main Event Money for a guys whos scale just slid down to Midcarder?
>Kek I thought he left for WWE cause of his daddeh or somethingDusty wasnt really beholden to WWE as much as the business itself, I mean he wrestled all over the place. Hell even after he went to WWF, he still came back to WCW during the NWO era. He went to ECW for crying outloud.
Cody followed the money. Tony Khan probably lowballed him and forced him to seek a beter deal with Vince. Tony probably only offered him less then 2 mil, Vince probably offered him 3 mil and made up alot of ground with his perks and tweeks. (tshirt money, the bus, music deal, etc.) probably also guarenteed him no Stardust unless Cody brings it up first. ticky tack stuff like that.
