Slowing down the entrance sequence works well for Cawdy's theme. He usually comes right out during the MUH ROYAL FAMILY intro so the entourage have time to catch up.
Milking the crowd anticipation + No entourage + Condensed entrance time. It worked out for him. It's a safe bet that he will never reach this peak again on his own.

People talk about WWE being soulless. AEW is soulless. Every fed puts some effort to look different. Old ROH, Impact, NJPW etc. Even NWA for fucks sake. Khan just literally lifts the designs of WCW as if AEW is some successor to that. Why not make your own look and style and not ape other people's shit? They literally have no original ideas of their own.

It's because its less masturbatory. He has absolutely no choice but to calm it down as Vince is in charge of him now. He did a Wrestlemania-tier entrance for Wrestlemania, unlike in AEW where he did Wrestlemania-tier entrances for Dynamite and even Dark. He's not coming out with a bunch of people cheering him in Cody Rhodes shirts with Cody Rhodes figures and he's not coming out with DDP and Arn Anderson and a bunch of legends clapping him and he's not coming out with his dog for some reason and he's not coming out with a bunch of Nightmare Factory boys all holding Cody Rhodes figures. Tony let him get away with a lot, with Vince, he'll just say no, if Cody even has the courage to ask, and that's the final answer. So WWE is gonna hopefully really help tone down how overboard Cody was going which was his biggest problem.

Now he'll just have a regular wrestling entrance.

I like TNA and AEW TV set design desu. Its WWE's non-ppv sets that I can't stand. too bright and clean for a wrestling show. Wrestlemania set was dimes though and they put a lot more effort into wrestlemania entrances than they do regualr TV entrances so comparing the two is dumb

I'm still shoot seething about that 6-man tag he had with the Lucha Bros against Andrade and (was it Malakai and someone?) where he made himself come out last even though the Lucha Bros were the tag champs at the time. Little things like that absolutely pissed me off so bad. I popped when that guy threw the belt back at him in that match.
