>>5156182You're so full of shit.
>You build the company, product and direction around your top guy. That hasn't been true for the vast majority of promotions in a hundred years of wrestling. Only in the WWE after Vince Jr. took over did you really see anything like that, and twice was it met with massive, precipitous drops after any good business. So by your own logic, Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin are huge anti-draws who killed the business far worse than Roman ever could've, with Hulk having done it twice. The fact is that you do rely on stars to grab attention but the undercard matters in holding audience's attention, or else why even bother booking good talent to begin with? Hell, even when Vince was strapping the cart to Hogan or Austin, you at least had amazing guys working underneath like Piper, Macho Man, Jake the Snake, The Rock, Undertakter, Shawn Michaels, etc.
Look at the underneath talent who's been pushed in more recent years, and the programs they work. It's dogshit.
>Vince needed to bring Austin out of retirement and put him on both nights to save this wrestlemania that Roman was, by all rights, supposed to sell on his backAustin wasn't even advertised for the second night, so you're being completely obtuse here, first of all. Second, Wrestlemania has always been a spectacle-driven show, where the WWE parades stars to get more attention. Vince had to put Hulk Hogan in a tag team with Mr. T to even sell the first one as well as he did.
