Meltzer can just be shooting the shit, throwing out some theories of what he thinks might happen based off of absolutely nothing, and it's clear he's just speculating if you're actually listening to him
but 15 other "wrestling journalists" will pull a quote from him and make it their headline and act like Meltzer confirmed that this is definitely happening
it doesn't happen of course and then Meltzer gets blamed for it

It is, you're right, but the trouble is that spineless nerdy bookers will change their whole programme around to fit Meltzer's theories.
This has happened with most of the indies and with AEW, and you can bet your ass that when the WWE has been sold, the new owners will also encourage that sort of adulteration to match "public expectations".
