G1 Season New Japan is still my highlight of the year in terms of Professional Wrestling.
With that said, the reason why they aren't as based as they used to be is:
>Tanahashi and Naito are too old/busted up
>Nakamura was too and he's not even in New Japan anymore anyways
>Shibata died for our dimes, though maybe he'll actually return closer to full time soon?
>Evil is unbearable with his heel gimmick shit
>Ass Spray always was, always is and always will be a retarded flippyshit faggot that couldn't have an actually good match to save his life, in spite of Meltzer swearing otherwise
>Still no new guys worth a shit have stepped up to the plate, though these things naturally take time in New Japan
>Despite all of this, Ishii is still not given the push he deserves
At least we have Shingo getting a proper push now, though. And Okada, Ibushi, Zack Saber Jr. and Kenta are as based as always, so it's not all bad.
