He unironically works himself in to a shoot because he keeps trying to carny everyone, but all it does is make him come off insane. AEW was a vanity project for him. He wanted to be the face of it. He's not lying when he said it was an easy decision, because he literally planned all this shit so he could crawl back to Vince and say, "S-see I got over". The problem is that everywhere he has been he had to latch on the hottest act at the time. And, even at the start of AEW where he was at his most over, he ended up squandering it because he kept booking stupid angles around himself.
He's a better fit for WWE though. Vince isn't going to take his shit.
