It's not at WWE levels, but I have a nagging skepticism of just how many "older/nostalgia smark acts" are starting to come in. I know these guys are great hands and can pass on their wisdom or whatever bullshit they come up with, but man it's not really that exciting.

Rankings, despite being extremely important in kayfabe, are rarely mentioned except for when someone gets a random shot to job for the current champion. The matches themselves are often very good but nothing ever makes any fucking sense

Your champion(s) need to be the faces of the company. When you have people without belts being the focal points then you need to deviate from what you're doing if you don't have any faith in your champions instead of sticking with a plan that isn't working.

as someone who legit loved AEW before CM Phil came in a ruined it, there are many things you can point to. The single biggest one is that AEW when from its own unique style and brand of wrestling and is now just WWElite. I don't understand why TK insists on pushing guys his OG guys already beat. If people cared about Keith Lee, Adam Smol, Toni Storm, Ruby Soho, Kyle O'Reilly, Samoa Joe, Bobbie Fish and the rest, they would have watched them on NXT. But they didn't. And keep in mind, these weren't misused guys like Miro or Brodie Lee. Keith Lee, Adam Cole, Kyle, Fish and Joe were pushed and protected. I fucking hate what's happened to AEW. Fuck CM Phil and fuck NXT. I want AEW, not some shitty off-brand WWE.

I like AEW and think it's the best wrestling promotions in years.
But I hate that the roster is so full. The new guys don't even get storylines anymore except if Tony Khan see's main event material in them. And constantly debuting wrestlers also delays other storylines like the Julia Hart heel turn. She's been House of Blacked like 2 months ago and nothing happened cause they have to build Malakais stable up first

They effectively don’t have a world champion. There isn’t a guy that week after week you can look forward to and guarantee will be on the show.
There are no true storylines ever since Cody was forced out of creative.
They still have never done anything they said in the beginning with the work with Japanese talent or foreign talent in general.

Wrestlers just disappear from TV after one match. I'm not watching Dark.
All legit storylines just randomly go on hiatus with no week to week continuity. Where the fuck is Danielson + Moxley tonight?
I'm required to be an internet mark with inside knowledge on indy wrestling, twitter, and be a young bucks youtube subscriber to keep up with everything.
Almost all this shit would be resolved if the roster isn't so fucking bloated for a 2 hour weekly show

it actually makes no sense. guys who are on long winning streaks should be in the title picture and aren't. the rankings put them in a corner, half of the guys on a streak should probably never be in the main event lol. but guys who are winning haven't been in the main event picture and will probably only challenge for the title when Kahn needs his champion to get some wins.

The Young Bucks and the whole aesthetic they give the tag division. I dislike Brandon Rose. The matches are generally predictable, but it's natural considering they don't book 50/50 and the title picture is decided by W/L. They should probably find a middle ground anyway.
Hangman is shit, but he's over, so nothing you can do about that
There are a lot of debuts, but the frequency of these isn't as bad as a lot of people say. The roster is too big though, so they better use ROH to make it feel less bloated and give some of them things to do.
Lately the show feels like it starts really good, but then it loses steam. They should learn how to stop this.
The run-ins and the post-match beat-ups are still ridiculous, they should fix that too.
Give the dork order some meaning or disband them already.

They had a chance to be unique, the new thing in wrestling, bringing styles from all around the globe and having fun with it, not taking themselves so serious. I dislike how goofy the promotion gets sometimes. I don't terribly mind Adam Cole and I actually kinda like reDRagon, but them coming out last week and doing the Undisputed Era shtick was really fucking bad. You're in a feud for the world titles. Take it seriously.

I can let it slide it with the Bucks and Omega. The Bucks know how to be goofy douchebags in the right "my character is a goofy douchebag and I'm using it to get heat" kind of way and Omega knows when it's okay to be goofy and when he needs to be serious. But for some reason, with Cole and reDRagon, it's really getting on my fucking nerves. I have similar feelings about Dark Order - I think pretty much all of those guys are really good wrestlers, but their character and presentation is so overtly comical, I hate it when they talk. It's annoying, because John Silver is really good and could occupy a really valuable role as a midcard babyface, but the JOHNNY HUNGIE shit is so fucking cringe.

I wasn't a big fan of most of the roster back when it was new, and I still don't care for most of the roster even now that some wrestlers I like have joined. I'm a casual wrestling fan, most of the roster and booking just feels like it's pandering hard to smarks.
I was somewhat interested in AEW back when Hangman had the drunk gimmick, but they had to fuck that up.
Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks being part of it really kills the promotion for me too. Kenny's a fantastic wrestler, but I just can't stand him as a character.

I hate the way the BTE crew have dominated the main event scent ever since Moxley dropped the title.
