You would have a point if we were talking about WWE because WWE has a lot of hatewatchers and disgruntled fans who are mad their favorite isn't being pushed.

But AEW is very forgiving towards Tony's booking, probably way TOO forgiving. The promotion is still very much in it's Honeymoon Phase where they slobber over every thing that happens like it's the best thing ever. Cody is really the only thing that has consistently drawn the opposite reaction of what was intended, and that was with Cody apparently having a lot of creative control, at least with his entrances, promos, etc.
I can't think of any other booking decision AEW made that drew the opposite reaction they wanted so consistently. It's just Cody.
