They singlehandedly made Japanese wrestling popular in the west. No one ever heard of NJPW unless you were the smelliest of smellies then along came Kenny Omega and all you heard was how good he was. Then the bucks started a whole movement that lead to indie wrestlers actually selling out shirts in stores like hot topic. They were able to create a whole company based off of Kenny, Jericho and the bucks.
And then cody came along for the ride also.

Kenny's success in NJPWis a good measurable but making ti sound like he was some gateway for the West to watch NJPW is disingenuous considering the idea behind him was partly for NJPW to expand to America and that didn't happen. Sorry but that's just the truth. Kenny is not a draw in the West and still isn't. He is not a draw like he is in Japan. All the shit you said about the Bucks is just flat out bullshit though. The Young Bucks get by from their indie bullshit and going to smaller feds and using that to politick themselves into the top tag spot. The fear being reprisal if you ever need to do an indie show they are connected to. They dont go to major feds for this reason. Even their NJPW run was a favor for bigger fish

NJPW wouldn't be a thing in the west at all, and AEW wouldn't exist without them. Kenny's iteration of Bullet Club also got Cody over in Japan, which is the only reason he ever mattered in AEW, and in turn the only reason anyone cares about him returning to WWE now.

sure. i personally enjoy most of Omega's matches and am happy he has had a successful career so far. while I am not personally a huge fan of the Young Bucks, I know many are and seeing as I am a mature adult I don't get upset when I find out other people enjoy things that I do not. WWE was so hard-on to sign them that they basically promised it to their fans on live TV. They've tried to sign Omega four or five times now and they were desperate enough to get him and the Bucks before they could start AEW that they offered them contracts with six month out clauses.

Also, Omega's been a draw for basically a decade straight, across two continents.

Sure. One held and defended 5 major titles, across companies, at once, and the bucks have singlehandedly made tag team wrestling a believable fixture of main events for the first time since the 70s, im pretty sure.

They also were pretty important in establishing aew as viable competition in the beginning, when it mattered most and was actually great.

Meltzer and his ratings certainly played a role in that, but that is merely a consequence of their work.
