Cody's WWE promos so far have been obviously unscripted, to the point that he accidentally uses non-WWE terminology and flip-flops between superstar and wrestler. He accidentally got Hulk Hogan boo'd last monday on what he thought would be an applause line. He's still Cody, that's the most shocking part of all this. It was a 10 minute unscripted "I want to be the champion" promo. He has named Roman in interviews, but not on TV. WWE, both onscreen and off have not announced him to be in anything involving Reigns, but you'd have to be naive to WWE's booking style to not see the writing in the sand. Usos are about to get into conflict with Randy Orton, a former stablemate of Cody. Cody is in a program with Seth, in kayfabe, Seth is one of the only people who knows how to beat Reigns, and Reigns has never figured out how to beat Seth.
If nothing has happened by summerslam, Cody's buried. But I expect this will turn into a program in the next few months.
