WWE has two guys who you can book with another big wrestler and have it be a big deal in itself, and thats Roman and Brock. Even guys like Bobby and Drew, who are probably WWE's highest tier guys that aren't part-timers, don't really fit alongside mid-card AEW guys. Like Wardlow vs. Bobby would be a nothing match for Wardlow at this point. Hangman vs. Drew McIntyre is a TV match for Drew. Their tag division is even worse. The Usos are not on the level of The Young Bucks, FTR, The Lucha Brothers, Jurassic Express etc.

It would have to all be references to old feuds that the former WWE guys had.

Forgot Christian was an AEW guy since he's been booked into irrelevance and will only ever be known for his time as a WWE midcarder. No idea who Mysterio's tag partner is.

Plenty of superstars you left off from WWE I just figured there was nobody who could match up.with them.

The invasion angle should start with Vince degrading the AEW wrestlers by making them do stereotypical WWE things ie Dancing gimmicks, Name changes. This causes a mass revolt, and they invade the next raw demanding title shots and equal treatment. They get it during the PPV, and win every belt except for the big one. Various AEW wrestlers feud with Roman, trying to take the belt, but ultimately failing. This would lead to Kenny finally taking it at the Royal Rumble PPV, who would then lose it to Rumble winner Cody defending the honor of WWE at Wrestlemania.
