When Dean Ambrose was late in his WWE career, it was looking like he would end up as a bit of a “what if” whose potential was ultimately missed for a variety of reasons including WWE booking and weak ring work. The last few years almost everything he touches is just awesome: G1, DON debut, Omega feud, AEW title run, Kingston feud, killer matches in NJPW/AEW/the Indies. Moxley completely flipping the narrative about him and actually winning Wrestler of the Year is something no one would have believed in 2018. Blackpool Combat Club is now really putting it over the top. It just feels like this stable is going to be something fans will be talking about for years to come. After already being a founding member of the Shield, this is now the second time he has founded an extremely memorable/over stable (obviously too early to tell how high they rise). That’s legend shit. Beyond that, it’s notable how on AEW Moxley is presented as an equal to S-tier legends like Punk/Bryan/Jericho and it just doesn’t feel out of place at all. Beating him is a big deal in a way that it never was before. And he did this all while writing one of the great wrestling books AND conquering his demons.

Find hope, find something good to do with your life. Why toil away in this lifestyle?

WWE were fucking seething cause he told them he's leaving the company so tried to embarass him every single week. Funny thing is that backfired and people only wanted to see him leave even more.
But at the same time they did all these tributes to him and the Shield in hope of him saying "aw thats nice. Maybe it wasn't bad afterall around here"
