However Joe and Suzuki are two big names, to the point that doing this match without any build is leaving money on the table. Secondly, you can't assume everyone knows everything, even if they've heard that Suzuki is a big deal on the japanese promotion, how many fans really know the extent to which Suzuki has been a big deal? Even if they recall Joe from his main roster run, how many of them know that he was the longest reigning ROH champion with wins over guys like Danielson and Punk? All that information is stuff that hypes up the fight for the fans that already know, it gives the less knowledgeable fans something to look up for and it can all be delivered with a couple of 5 minute promo packages
But instead, it just got booked overnight
