Why don't they make the ring softer?

What's the point of getting your guys hurt? Everybody know wrestling is fake so just make the rings softer and minimize injury risks and long term damage to the body due to all the bumps day in and day out. It's fucking obvious.

In some cases, there would be more injuries. You need some give but too much is bad for some moves.

It would also make running harder and would look silly at times.

No sound and I think a surfaces who are too soft can be really bad for the ankles, so you would probably have crippled wrestlers anyway

Soft rings don't bang hard and can actually hurt more with certain moves.
Hard rings prevent acrobatic choreography like you see in AEW.
Vince was adamant that the old rings were good enough until he took his first bump from Austin on Raw. Immediate change.
But some rings down south were even harder, more like boxing rings. It motivates safe wrestling and encourages selling.
