They don't care who wins or loses because they're not actually invested in it. They're just there, they don't feel strongly about it, so they just half heartedly clap for everything.
I've been to indie shows with sub-1,000 crowds where the pops are near ear destroying. You could pack 10,000 people into an AEW show and you wouldn't get that no matter what happened. They don't care. They're self-obsessed smarks that are there to get themselves over before jumping ship to the next up and coming thing, just as the original Full Sail geeks did.
