I think a lot of people saw ECW and saw a roster filled with drunks from the local bar and thought if those people could be wrestlers, they could too. I also think a lot of these same people saw the WCW cruiserweights and figured, "If these small guys can make it, so can I!". Then before you know it, those people made up the majority of wrestlers and now all the online fans think size and weight don't matter and that anyone can be a wrestler. So you end up with GCW where you get intergender matches, drag queens, gays and some of the worst wrestlers on the planet.

And if you think things are bad now, just wait until the next generation comes along. There's teens right now who are probably watch tonight's GCW show with draq queens, Effy and Joey Janela and thinking "I can do that!" while sucking down HRT pills. You're going to wish wrestling was dead once that generation comes around.

Then before you know it, those people made up the majority of wrestling journalists and now all the online fans think quality and easily verifiable facts don't matter and that anyone can be a wrestling journalist. So you end up with pro wres blog where you get screenshots of tweets, day old news from fightful select, gays and some of the worst writers on the planet.

And if you think things are bad now, just wait until the next generation comes along. There's probably a couple people reading /pw/ tonight that will end up becoming wrestlers. And wait until you see what a generation inspired by bix, pro wres blog and sportskeeda mumbai look like. I legitimately hope wrestling is dead before those people ever come around.
