I really don't understand why they call themselves the John Wick or Tarantino films of Wrestling and WWE as the MCU capeshit when last I checked, Wick actually has fairly realistic hand to hand combat. The only show in wrestling that even came close to Tarantino was Lucha Underground and that's due to its Robert Rodriquez roots. Comparing WWE to MCU makes sense, since even people that I know who tried to get into modern WWE have said that it was unwatchable bullshit because it reminded them of capeshit. The biggest culprit was the Alexa Bliss Fiend character. It just irks me when gayew tries to present itself as teh ADULT product just because it has blood and swearing. The actual combat is finisher kick out spam, which honestly makes it resemble an anime or a capeshit film not unlike WWE itself. This is why some of aew's haters claim that AEW is just WWE-lite. It's the same fucking shit once you look beyond the surface level. Gayew just manages to be even more geeky & lame since they actually push the flippy shitters as main eventers. At WWE, they just get fed to some mid card and then the mid card gets fed to Romanetty.
