Moxley’s entire run was full of forgettable matches and backstage vignettes where he mumbled promos.
Off the top of my head he wrestled Hager (dud), Brodie Lee (pretty good), Lance Archer (forgettable), MJF (good but forgettable), Darby (this was good), Brian Cage (forgettable), Kingston twice (both matches were just ok) and Omega (I didn’t like this match at all).
Blame it on the pandemic, but it was a whatever title reign that people give a free pass to because Mox has so much good will with internet fans.
I also think face reigns are super hard nowadays because they’re aren’t any good heels so very rarely is there a situation of ‘everyone wants to see this baby face beat this asshole heel’ but I still thought his reign was just okay.
