wwe 2k22 is just alright for me, gameplay is really the only thing carrying this game.
here's what i think at least.

MyRise - okay but could be a LOT better

MyGm - Wack

MyFaction - Wack

Universe Mode - Some how watered down?

Superstar Mode - never got far enough to see anything interesting

Online - pretty hectic but fun.

It sucks honestly. Matches are still boring and all the same. You just keep hitting moves and the ai always kicks out of like 3 finishers until you win.

8/10 fix the belt image issue, give us wrestlers locked to MyRise, allow us to use and customize Japan Hall and Mexican Plaza in Universe Mode, fine tune them shits.

Not OP but for me you only get 3 matches per show. Matches use a Dave Meltzer-like star rating system and this determines how successful your show is, but you get more stars if you have a 'giant' vs a cruiserweight or a brawler vs a cruiserweight instead of actually putting on a good match. Also the mode resets after 1 season and you start from the beginning again (for some reason each show starts off wrestling in a school gym and you eventually unlock bigger arenas, production etc.).

Aside from that though I enjoy the game quite a lot.

Everything else is shit because the engine is shit. Hardcore matches are just not fun at all and there's so little variety or creativity you can do in them. Can't even do a Swanton Bomb off a ladder for fucks sake. Also the weapon physics are dogshit
Multi-man matches are complete clusterfucks. So many times I try doing a finisher that involves running the ropes that gets interrupted because there's some other dude in the ring that gets in the way

It's good. I've only played 2k20 and this (last wrestling game I got before that was TNA and SVR07). I'm a loser so grinding my life away on this game is just what I need right now. It's pretty fucked you need the NWO edition to get an achievement but I don't have many complaints outside of that.

It's been serviceable. Kinda sad Universe took some knocks in favor of MyGM. I like myGM but they added nothing new to universe sans the mediocre solo mode, and even removed promos.

I feel like the fact they took out features just so the gome doesn't crash is both stupid and smart at the same time. Still, that doesn't take away the fact that it has less features than 2k19 which makes it in all aspects an inferior game.

What did they remove other than create an entrance? That shit sucked anyway. The awkward 10 second camera pans to the crowd in between every animation was a cool trick in 2005 but not anymore. Until they can make it more seamless and dynamic, don't bother putting it back. Until then we'll have to settle for the 500 different default animations that have been piling up for the past 7 years.

The last gen/PC version is an abomination. It's almost unplayable once you reach about 60 CAWs. Entering the creation suite takes three and a half minutes of loading. Matches with custom wrestlers are the same. Even getting past the start up screen takes more than a full minute.

I used all 100 slots on 2K19 and never had an issue with load times. It's clear now that Yukes was not the issue with the series, it's Visual Concepts.

I havent bought it. I havent bought a wwe game since svr 10 because it was like 6 dollars at eb games and i wanted a wrestling game when i picked up a cheap used 360. The wwe games on the Playstation store in canada are either 80 dollars or unpurchasable, you can only access them with psnow. There's no demos available and im not dumping 80$ on a game when i havent enjoyed one since svr 06, whose General Manager mode was the pinnacle of sports entertainment video game experience.
