>>5321619>so what's the advantage?Necessary to compete in sports/some fields of entertainment, will make you big and jacked, absolutely necessary to build the modern conception of physique. Most users today use them to mask their own insecurities.
>why would people do modern roids instead of the shit from the 80s that still made people look great, if the modern side effects are so much worse?Roids go in and out of fashion. Even in my lifetime I've seen it: deca/orals/maybe light test was a common cycle twenty years ago. Now it's loads of test (1g), tren (3x100mg per week), sarms (anything, and dangerous). Fashions change due to everything from internet fads (the testosterone madness that the internet currently has - protip: it's a very bad drug for building muscle with many sides), to govenment changes (DBOL when the US cracked down and the drug went from eveywhere to only available underground or from middle-eastern/Indian/eastern euro pharmacies), to cost reasons (tren, as I've said, is popular because it can be bought in bulk from China and made into cheap 'underground' drugs in some idiot bodybuilder's bathtub).
The drugs a Reg Park to Arnie to Yates to a Big Ramy are using are different and their bodies reflect this. This can be seen in wrestling too: Atlas (DBOL only), Road Warriors (DBOL & deca), Ultimate Warrior (DBOL, Deca, HGH, some test), Test (all test). Today: Balor/Pac (HGH, light test prescription), Omega/Cage/most of the Japanese 'bodies' (tren primarily). Remember that Kawada/Kobayashi/Sasaki 'look'? All DBOL, which was freely available in Japan at time.
These are guesses, but educated guesses that are probably close to the mark.
