The twin switching thing has been done for decades. Billy Ref Lyons supposedly did it .The Nightmares did it in Continental and may have even pre-dated the Killer Bee's on it, who most famously did it. A bunch of people have done it since.
It was poorly done here though. The correct way to do the twin switching is to have Robyn successfully do it and get away with it on opponents for a while. Then in a big match or something, she finally gets caught and loses due to it. Instead, they had her try it for the first time on TV and still lose, making her look like a total idiot.
