It’s why the IWC gravitates to certain guys (KO, Ohno, Omega, etc.). They’re not the stereotypical WWE largr than life believable Superstar. They’re missing one or more checkmarks in the body department, are held back in WWE because of it, and his fanboys can relate to that from everyday life. They’re overprotective because they feel like they’re defending their own shortcomings. Plus his fans can't take any criticism of him. They're the definition of the hivemind.
