He seems to genuinely enjoy wrestling on the indies, and he has more than enough money, so it wouldn't be because he has to, it would be because he wants to. It would be interesting to know what actually went on between him and AEW. I get the feeling that AEW may have offered him a full time deal but Cardona turned it down knowing he would probably end up back in WWE sooner rather than later.

I'm a Cardona mark. I'm enjoying that he is being successful on the indies but some of it is cringe. Some of these places he is showing up at seem like literal hotdog promotions.

I really liked the early GCW stuff but it seems like he was kind of cut short there with the title run for no reason.

Before being released, it looks like he was making over $400k/yr in the WWE to pretty much do nothing. His vlogs showed alot of times he showed up for TV just to not be used.

So I'm torn... would like to see him come back with his new persona in WWE (like Cody) or even AEW and I think he has the looks/persona to be main event but I dont ever see him being that at either place. Too much other talent that he will easily get lost in.
