After having covered the likes of Hogan, Flair, Savage, Warrior and Sting as part of my series in regards who in the whole professional wrestling industry have been reputed as either a real professional locker room guy, or an entitled locker room diva, or even listed as LIMBO, it is time I did the next set.
LIMBO means we don’t know how much of a real professional locker room guy or how much of a charlatan they are. It also means they're more likely to be company-first guys than not or not really problematic enough to be troublemakers but would if they could. Classy locker room professionals are guys who keep their noses clean and are more likely to be company-first team players than performers with an entitlement mentality. And entitled charlatans are guys who keep getting into hot water time after time and thus become known for their locker room character problems.
Here are the next five to continue the series:
6) The Rock
Locker Room Reputation Label: Classy Locker Room Professional
"Rock began his wrestling career when his uncle Haku gave him his first pair of wrestling gear, and being influenced by the classy Anoa'i family ensured that Rock would grow to be a real locker room professional who respected the business and traditions without throwing hissy fits over wins/losses. Vince McMahon took a liking to Rock, and Bret Hart took Rock under his wing in his very early days in the WWF in 96-97, but drama between Bret and HBK/HHH as well as Ahmed Johnson made Vince worry that bad influences were bewitching Rock so Vince put him under the guidance of Ron Simmons and Godfather. Rock went on to become a legendary wrestler-turned-Hollywood movie star with his best wrestling peak in 2000 with a special guest host episode on Saturday Night Live and promoting his best selling autobiography book, and endless movie roles."
