It had no coherent identity, it first wanted to be a thriller film, then a noir film, then an action movie, but at no point does it attempt to be a superhero movie. Batman is ineffectual and whiny, the twist was boring, Riddler was just sad, it would be fine in a thriller movie, but this supposed to be a superhero movie. Even weak batman villains are larger then life, Riddler was just pathetic.
You want an example of how fucked this movie is? Minor spoiler, but there is a club Batman needs to get into to question Penguin. You know how he gets in? Infiltrates via the roof? Disguise? Nope. He knocks on the front fucking door. Dressed as god damn Batman. And he asks to be let in. He does this THREE FUCKING TIMES IN THIS ONE MOVIE.
Fuck that movie.
