No it wasn’t lol. It was a different TV landscape. They couldn’t sell PPV’s for shit and there’s a reason why they never left the Impact Zone (free to attend). TNA was never a wrestler’s preferred promotion to work for, other than maybe Sting.

If they didn't want to mention AEW then they wouldn't write articles about AEW at all. They praised an AEW match with Punk who WWE probably hates. I wont say it's impossible that they purposefully didn't mention AEW, but it seems unlikely and that stating AEW isn't talked about by TMZ is a bit of a stretch.
