But for better of worse, he does have a similar legacy/impact on the internet and wrestling in general for a couple of reasons:
1. His marathon multi-year project to review every pay per view and TV special in the modern era (IE 1985 onward) created a definitive history for people who never saw them before that came into wrestling with the Attitude Era.
2. His history pieces, most notably NWA 1989, WCW 1993, and his one two combo of the "For Want of a Nail"/"King Lear" Essays (arguably the most definitive non-Meltzer take on the Montreal Screwjob and WWE 1995-1997) informed and educated a LOT of people of wrestling lore and legend, providing needed context for people who might have forgotten about those periods.
