You know when WWE started doing those releases in 2021 and AEW started getting many of those released guys, I knew that was actually the start of Vince's new strategy against AEW of pouching their talents and bloating their roster.
What's happening right now is Vince's counter attack, and if Tony Khan doesn't get a clue and stop doing their own flavor of sports entertainment AEW might be in trouble.

they should unironically strike a short term deal with Tony to bring FTR in for a couple events, hand them the smackdown tag titles or whatever nobody cares about them anyway. establish themselves as a "cool" company that works with other companies (not really just using their talent) and take the shine off of AEW. it was such a novelty seeing Jericho wearing the AEW title in NJPW or having Kenny show up in Impact, now its completely worn off. WWE could milk that same cow multiple times and all the releases during the pandemic and wasting of talent would be forgotten because wrestling fans are retarded

This is the 100% unarguable criticism of WWE for me. They had Hogan/Savage and Rock/Foley 20+ years ago and since then they’ve chased this random two singles wrestlers as the main buoy for the division and it never gets anyone over that beats them. Their division is the Usos and SP vs whatever random team they inevitably plan on breaking up. It’s worse than womens matches.
