When Pete Dunne was accused of shit, WWE's legal team did a great job of sweeping the internet bad burying the allegations. I assume this is because Dunne might have had evidence to prove his innocence, or the allegations were not something WWE considered a fireable offense. The fact that WWE removed Dream from tv immediately, stopped mentioning him and fired him leads me to believe that there was more evidence against him than publicly available. Probably not enough hard evidence for it to go to court, or else they would have reported it to the police, but probably enough for it to be too much of a grey area to keep him around.
