And he was dead for like 6 years between Cell and Buu saga
He was also gone for like a year between namek blowing up and freiza appearing on earth

"June at the earliest" means anywhere from two months to one year to one decade to never. Basically what Meltzer is saying is he has no scoop whatsoever and know no more than you. But he CAN make an educated guess that since Kenny is badly injured, it won't be next week. But so can everybody else. What are you subscribing for, exactly?
