legitimate question, how many american NJPW fans don't watch AEW already?
I assume the number is in the low thousands and I don't think a lot of japanese NJPW fans are interested in american wrestling
what's the angle here? how is this gonna boost the overall viewership of AEW?

Who cares? That's not a huge announcement. Most of NJPW is filled with shitters which is why their attendance numbers are in the toilet over in America. Everyone who was interested over there checked out when AEW came around.
