They beat WWE, causing them to move their competing brand (NXT) and basically killing HHH's dreams of owning the company.
And then, for some reason, TK decided to hirer all the guys his guys had already beaten, and who the audience had decided they weren't interested in, hired CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole.
Tony Khan seriously believed that CM Punk was going to be this big game-changer and that the move to TBS (in more homes) would ensure they would be getting over a million.
And yet, the opposite has happened. They seemed to have found their ceiling. In face, Phil has been such a fucking disaster, that he has to come out at the start of Dynamite (when viewing figures are at their highest) just to maintain the illusion that he's a draw and not a waste of fucking money.
I hate it because I fucking loved AEW... but when it was AEW and not fucking WWElite.
