just thinking, wouldn't a WWE & NJPW partnership have been completely pointless since WWE fans have never watched a NJPW match and don't know the wrestlers?

Yes because WWE fans only watch WWE and don't watch anything else. AEW fans watch everything, some even watch WWE although a lot of them don't.

yeah of course, plus the lack of "dream matches" because there isn't any talent in WWE. apart from cena v tanahashi and maybe reigns v okada, there's really no potential matches of any interest.
